Visit us at Mannings Heath

Did you know that we have a ‘sister’ venue locally, with the same owners, at Mannings Heath Golf Club & Wine Estate?

It has two superb golf courses - 18 and 9-hole - with lots of support and help available for those who might be interested in taking up golf for the first time, or resuming their pursuit of the little white ball after a break of a few years.

More than this, Mannings Heath is a superb 500-acre destination - open to non-members too - for family events and other functions; for a leisurely lunch or to drop in and enjoy our lovely bar, the Spike Bar.

A great institution of golf clubs is the Sunday Lunch, enjoyed by players and their families and those with no connection to golf at all. Our ample menu is available every Sunday of the year - but please be sure to book in advance.

And as Spring arrives you can bask in the glorious sunshine (we hope) over pre-lunch drinks on our south-facing terraces, the perfect place to relax and unwind.

All the facilities have enjoyed a major refit since the new owners took over. The food is great, the staff are super friendly and it is a lovely setting, with its beautiful landscaped golf courses, over 100 years old. Everyone is made to feel very welcome.

The intimate Benguela Brasserie on site takes inspiration from classic cuisine with a modern twist. It is open Thursday to Sunday for lunch and dinner - see the sample menu. Menus change regularly.

In 2017 we planted a vineyard. The ‘terroir’ in West Sussex is similar to that in the Champagne region in France, so we have great hopes for a wonderful vintage a few years from now. We plan to build a new cellar and produce premium English sparkling wine.

Perhaps you might treat someone to afternoon tea at Mannings Heath or choose something light from our bar menu available in the Lounge and Spike Bar seven days a week.

In the meantime you can enjoy wines from the owners’ Benguela Cove vineyard in South Africa: special wines, grown by a beautiful lagoon next to the ocean.

Come and see us soon - open to all, no membership required to visit and enjoy.
