15 October | 9:30 – 15:00

Learn how to truly use your camera and unlock your creativity with this day workshop. Perfect for complete beginners, improvers and those who need a refresher. It’s common to have a camera that is capable of so much but can be stuck in the limited auto mode. You’re not alone.

Join local landscape photographer Matt Goddard to learn the fundamentals of photography and enjoy the beautiful scenery and colour that Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens have to offer this autumn. This workshop will be split between learning the skills indoors and practicing them by taking photos in the gardens.

A break for lunch will be taken with afternoon tea from the Clocktower Cafe (scones with cream and jam, a sandwich, a slice of cake and a tea or coffee per person).

£110.00 per person | 10% off for Leonardslee members
Garden entry is included

Limited space available.

About Matt Goddard

Matt left his office career behind to follow his dreams as a landscape photographer. Teaching photography is an area Matt loves and has successfully taught 100+ students through one-to-one lessons and group workshops

Growing up in Sussex, Matt truly recognises the rich and varied Sussex Landscape. Spending much of his childhood in, on or near the sea left a lasting impression that continues to influence his art; particularly a desire for simplicity, space and a feeling of connection to the natural world. Or, summed up in a gesture it’s that “ahhhh” decompression we all experience when the moment elevates us beyond our worldly problems.

Matt enjoys creating a feeling of peace and tranquility in his photography that counters the increasing intensity of the commercial world we live in. He sees it as a form of mindfulness where space and creative expression can be achieved.
