Is cash accepted at Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens?
A. Sorry no cash accepted. For security reasons Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens is a cash free zone. We only accept payment by card.

I don’t have a credit card?
We have an outlet at reception and the Stable Block gift shop that can accept cash and you will be given a card that can be used throughout Leonardslee. Simply return your card at the end of the day to receive a cash refund of any remaining money.
Are dogs allowed in Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens?
A. Responsible dog owners and well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome, owners are expected to clean up after their dog and dispose of their waste. Please ensure only biodegradable dog bags are used and disposed of in the doggie bins provided. Look out for the paw prints on the map to find the doggie bins.
Are dogs allowed in the cafés?
A. Dogs are not allowed inside Leonardslee House or the Clocktower café but they are allowed inside the Courtyard Café.
Are we allowed to bring our own picnic baskets?
A. No outside food or drink is allowed. We have a selection of local Sussex meats and cheeses, variously freshly baked breads. We also have pre-packaged sandwiches, cakes, pastries and a wide variety of sweet and savoury nibbles. Soft drinks, wine and bubbly are available and you simply pay a deposit for a basket and get your money back when you return it.
Do you cater for vegan and gluten free diets?
A. Yes, our cafés have a selection of vegan and gluten free foods available daily. If you are visiting Leonardslee House for Afternoon Tea or Restaurant Interlude we can cater for all dietary requirements but request 48 hours’ notice to allow sufficient time for preparation.
Can I use a pram or pushchair in the gardens?
A. The gardens are natural woodland gardens and pathways are not always accessible by prams and pushchairs.
Is Leonardslee accessible to wheelchair and mobility scooter users?
A. All facilities, i.e. entrance gates, restaurants, shops and venues, are wheelchair friendly. The lower gardens are not accessible currently by wheelchair or mobility scooters due to the steep slopes that need to be climbed on your return journey.
Can I buy tickets on the day?
A. Yes, tickets may be purchased from the ticket office upon arrival, you can also buy tickets at a reduced rate online and miss the queues.
Do you accommodate weddings at Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens?
A. Yes, we our mansion house is licensed for wedding ceremonies. If you would like to hold your wedding reception at Leonardslee we can offer you the use of our marquee which will seat up to 150 people or alternatively our Greenhouse which can hold up to 200 people. Intimate weddings can be held at Leonardslee House and we can offer dining packages at Restaurant Interlude (35 people) or dining packages in our Afternoon Tea drawing room seating approximately 80 people. We are planning to license areas within the gardens and these are great option for casual picnic style weddings.
Are drones and model aircraft permitted?
A. The use of UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) or drones, is not permitted on or over Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens due to privacy.
How long do you need at Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens?
A. We recommend 4 - 5 hours per trip to fully enjoy what is on offer.
How much is entry for guests of members?
A. Bring up to 2 guests at a special members guest rate (25% off standard ticket price) per visit.
Is there free parking on site?
A. Yes, parking for coaches and cars is available at the entrance of Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens. Disabled parking is located in the car park. Disabled passengers may be set down at the ticket office before car is parked in the car park.
Is Leonardslee open all year round?
