THE WALK OF LIFE EXHIBITION - FINAL MONTH AT LEONARDSLEE LAKES & GARDENS
An extraordinary journey through sculpture, time, and nature
As the sun begins to set on this remarkable installation, guests are invited to experience the final months of Anton Smit’s powerful exhibition, “The Walk of Life”, displayed for the first time in the UK at Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens.
Set within the dramatic valleys and woodland of our Grade I listed estate, this monumental outdoor exhibition features over eighty sculptures, tracing nearly five decades of Smit’s creative evolution.
Each piece, shaped by themes of emotion, form, and identity, guides the visitor on a path of reflection and self-discovery all within one of England’s most beautiful garden settings.
At the heart of the exhibition stands “Faith”, the striking 7-metre sculpture near Leonardslee House and the vineyard, offering a symbolic echo of the original bronze “Faith” that looks over our sister estate, Benguela Cove in South Africa.
This is your last opportunity to witness one of South Africa’s most iconic sculptors in dialogue with the English landscape. Don’t miss the chance to walk, wonder, and feel before it’s gone.
