About Hannah Peckham

Hannah Peckham is a counsellor, mother and children's author that grew up in Sussex. She was diagnosed with classic dyslexia at the age of five with an IQ of I34 but her path to becoming an author was shrouded with self-doubt.

Conker the Chameleon has gone on to win multiple awards and is celebrated for its use of the zones of regulation within early years settings and has been translated into Portuguese by Penguin Random House. ‘Little Bodhi Books’ is the brainchild of Hannah, named after her son, Bohdi means ‘awakening’. Her books not only deliver beautiful stories but also embraces the learning opportunity to deliver key social emotion lessons. Climb is endorsed by the lead author of Development Matters, the non-statutory government guidelines for early years settings and is a good toy guide recommended.

Her newly released title ‘Conker and the Monkey Trap’ delivers a message about bravery, friendship and kindness with a subtle nod to the importance of connection, teamwork and the 5 steps to mental wellbeing.

Hannah believes that laying the foundations of good mental health early on can give children the gift of emotional literacy. “As parents, we all want to protect our children from ever feeling emotional pain but we can’t stop difficult things happening, what we can do is provide them with skills and understanding so they can cope when challenging times occur and that is what my books aim to do.”
