This year, the experience unfolds as a journey through the gardens and the changing seasons, where light, sound and nature come together in a series of evolving scenes. EXPANDED LEONARDSLEE VILLAGE
Leonardslee Village returns as a lively hub at the heart of the experience. For 2026 it is open both before and after your journey through the lights.
With an indoor covered bar, firepits for marshmallow roasting, freshly made doughnuts, live performances, and both indoor and outdoor seating, it’s the perfect place to begin your evening or unwind afterwards. This year, the Village will feature an expanded programme of live entertainment, bringing even more atmosphere and energy across the night.
Enjoy mulled wine, local food and seasonal treats in a relaxed, festive setting.
Guests are welcome to arrive ahead of their allocated trail entry time to soak up the atmosphere in the Village, or stay a little longer after completing the trail to make the most of everything on offer.

Leonardslee Lights is shaped by an evolving community of artistic collaborators from nationally acclaimed studios to emerging local talent. At the heart of our creative direction are Ithaca Studio, award-winning sound designer Dan Fox, and the spellbinding performers of ThirdSpace, whose talents have helped define the immersive magic of our trail.

A Midwinter Light’s Dream
In 2025, Leonardslee was transformed into a spellbinding world of light, sound, and imagination as Leonardslee Lights delved deeper into the tale of A Mid-Winter Lights Dream.
Each turn revealed something extraordinary: moonlight shimmering across still waters, trees alive with dancing light, and mysterious figures emerging from the shadows to guide visitors deeper into the experience.
Sustainably Staged
Behind the spectacle is a deep respect for the natural world that inspires it.
Leonardslee Lights is designed with sustainability in mind, from low-energy LED installations and intelligent power management to carefully planned routes that protect our woodland habitats.
We work closely with the gardening team to ensure that the beauty you see illuminated at night continues to thrive in the daylight.
Because in this theatre of nature, the land is not just a stage, it’s the star.
WHEN I ARRIVE
Please allow 15 minutes to park and walk to the main ticket entrance prior to your pre-booked trail time.
Make sure you have your tickets ready to be scanned either on your phone or printed.
Please note: this year there is no access to the Leonardslee Village until after you have completed the trail.
If you do arrive early, our garden shop and plant centre will be open and hot drinks available.
Please do not join the entrance queue more than 5 minutes prior to your pre-booked trail time. You will only be allowed onto the trail at your pre-booked visit time.
Last entry onto the trail is 20:30 which is 15 minutes after the last time slot.
ACCESSIBILITY GUIDE
The trail is based outdoors, with accessible gravel paths that are suitable for most all-terrain mobility scooters. There are one or two areas that are steeper than others, namely our inward and outward bound pathways that lead to and from the valley area of our grounds. These areas are not suitable for wheelchairs, and we would advise utilising our Shuttle Buggy service for emergencies. Our mobility scooters and wheelchairs are not available for hire during this event.

Please note there is no welcome area at the start of the trail this year. The trail now concludes in Leonardslee Village, a lively new hub with an indoor covered bar, firepits for marshmallow toasting, fresh doughnuts, live performers, and indoor/outdoor seating. Leonardslee Village is only accessible at the end of the trail. If you do arrive early, enjoy hot drinks outside the entrance or browse our Gift Shop.
Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to your pre-booked entry time.
Toilet Facilities: Visitors must make sure to use facilities before embarking upon the trail. Toilets are located only within the top section of our grounds, and are located adjacent to our Reception and within the Leonardslee Village area. We strongly suggest using facilities before queueing at Reception for entry.
Have your ticket ready on your phone or printed for scanning at the main ticket entrance. Everyone on the same booking must enter the trail together.
Join the entry queue only at or just before your ticketed time.
Well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome.
Carers must present valid ID on entry.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The trail runs in most weather, please dress appropriately.
The route includes hard standing and gravel, with several steep slopes, including a steep initial descent.
Suitable for most all-terrain mobility scooters; wheelchairs are not advised.
To keep views clear, umbrellas are not permitted. Please wear waterproofs or ponchos.
Photographers/videographers may be present. If you do not wish to appear in future marketing, please inform them.

· We are a primarily cashless site.
· Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
· Trail entry closes at 20:30 (15 minutes after the last time slot). No entry is permitted after this.
· Seasonal food and drink are only available after the trail until 22:00.
· Leonardslee Village is only accessible from your allocated trail entry time.

Please be sure that you choose the correct date and time slot time when making your booking. Leonardslee Lights are not able to offer refunds once tickets have been purchased unless the event is cancelled. Refunds are for the face value of the ticket and do not include transaction fee
Weather is continuously monitored by our health and safety team with customer safety always held as a top priority. In the unlikely case that a decision to cancel the trail is made on any given night, the decision will be made as early as possible on the day of the trail, usually by 12 noon. As soon as a decision is made, we will contact ticket holders by email to inform them of the cancellation and to provide re-booking options.

Under 16s must be accompanied at all times by an adult, aged 18 and older, on the trail.

Loss/Damages
Leonardslee Lights is unable to accept any liability for personal or property damages, losses (including confiscations) or injuries sustained at this event, other than caused as a result of our negligence.
Tickets Exchanges & Refunds
Refunds are for the face value of the ticket and do not include booking fee.

Creating peace of mind when you need it most.On the night Lights tickets are £28 per adult and £18 per child, with a £1.25 booking fee per ticket.

This option is available the Tickets page and will cover the cost of your tickets should you not be able to attend for a variety of reasons including illness or self-isolation related to COVID-19. Free and discounted tickets can be cancelled on the membership portal and rebooked again, however, booking fees are non-refundable and would be applied to any new orders.

BY CAR
From the M23/A23: Head South on the M23/A23 and take the exit signposted Handcross, follow the B2110 through Lower Beeding, at the end of the road turn left. The entrance is immediately on your left.
From Cowfold: Head North on the A281 through Crabtree, the entrance is on your right at the top of the hill.
From Horsham: Head South out of Horsham and follow the A281 for approximately 10 minutes, the entrance is on your left.

There is free car parking on site.
BY TRAIN
Nearest Rail Station is Horsham, with trains from London Victoria, Clapham Junction & South Coast stations.
BY BUS
Number 17 runs between Horsham Railway Station & Brighton and stops outside Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens.
