About the Models 

These models are 1/14 scale - the trucks and trailers are built from kits and can be built as standard or customised (lights, engine sounds, a 3-speed gearbox for the trucks etc, for realism.) All controlled from the handheld radio-controlled unit.  

The construction vehicles are bespoke built and operate as a true construction vehicle should - ie they have a hydraulic system which gives them their tremendous power and strength to move soil etc. The excavators and tipper trucks are high end models from Germany, China and the UK.  

This group exhibits at numerous events throughout the country, ie fundraising charity events, model engineering shows, steam fairs and “Truckfest” shows around the country and abroad. 

The modellers are from all walks of life and age groups. The group are always happy to discuss the models, offer advice, pass on knowledge and encourage new interest into the hobby.
