Pause & Bloom: A Floral Painting Experience

8 May | 10:00 - 15:00

Pause & Bloom is a collaborative painting workshop designed to reconnect you with your creativity.

Make time for colour, connection and the pleasure of creating together this May at Leonardslee. Whether you’re returning to painting, trying it for the first time or simply looking for time away from everyday demands, this workshop offers a welcoming space to begin.

Join mixed-media artist Danielle Jackson for a full-day experience where individual marks, colours and ideas come together in one shared artwork. With gentle encouragement, you’ll explore intuitive painting, contribute at your own pace and discover how a painting can grow through many different hands.

No previous painting experience is needed. Come with a friend or on your own, enjoy lunch as part of the day and leave with a piece of the collaborative painting you helped create.

Please note: Aprons will be provided as acrylic inks will be used. One painting will be created per participant during the workshop.

£85 per person including lunch | 10% off for Leonardslee members

Garden entry included | A lunch break will be taken during the workshop, with afternoon tea included in the ticket price. Each person will receive scones with cream and jam, a sandwich, a slice of cake and a tea or coffee | Materials included | Free parking for Leonardslee members | Parking Information

About Danielle Jackson

Danielle Jackson is a mixed media artist whose work explores growth, identity, and the beauty of becoming. Through vibrant layers of paint, collage, and botanical forms, she creates expressive floral abstractions that celebrate resilience and the quiet power of starting again.

After stepping away from art for over two decades while raising her family, Danielle returned to painting in the in-between moments of everyday life. What began at a kitchen table has grown into a deeply personal and evolving practice, one rooted not in perfection, but in presence, play, and self-connection.

Her work invites others to reconnect with their own creativity without pressure or expectation. Inspired by nature and the idea that we can bloom wherever we are, Danielle creates spaces where people can pause, explore, and gently rediscover themselves through art.

Pause & Bloom is an extension of this ethos, a welcoming, relaxed workshop designed for those who may feel unsure, out of practice, or simply in need of a moment to create. No experience is needed, just a willingness to begin.
