About Suzanne Snow

I began paper cutting quite by chance on an illustration course when experimenting with silhouettes and it gradually evolved from there. I made my first layered woodland paper cutting while living in Australia when I was homesick and missing the damp foggy days! On returning to the UK, I began making gifts for friends and it has kept growing.

I have taken part in Brighton artist open houses since 2015. I have also exhibited my work in galleries and exhibitions. I also sell my work at craft fairs as well as taking commissions.

I try to house my paper cuttings in found objects which are repurposed. These can be anything from drawers, clocks or lanterns. I like the idea of recycling something that no longer works, or is discarded and giving it a new lease of life!

I love workshops as it's a social way to introduce more people to this wonderful and versatile art form. It is a really forgiving medium, if you make a mistake, you just cut it out!
