Leonardslee Family Vineyard Makes Top 50 list

Leonardslee Family Vineyards is celebrating more success as it makes the WineGB 2025 Golden 50 list.

Leonardslee Brut Reserve 2021 has been included alongside some of the finest wines being made in the UK right now, in recognition of its incredible award success this year.  Launched only 16 months ago, Leonardslee Brut Reserve 2021 has achieved multiple accolades in 2025.

WineGB Awards Trophy - Best SWGB Wine  (Sustainable Wines of Great Britain).

96 points and gold, WineGB Awards 2025

“Stewed apple, evocatively smoky aromas. Fine mousse. Tangy acid. Nice biscuity, toasty and yeasty autolysis. Succulent, umami-opulent palate. Complex and harmoniously rounded. Saline finish. Lovely energy and core focus, steely but also lots of joy here. Smart stuff. Hard to criticise”

Decanter Vintage English Sparkling panel tasting, July 2025

95 points

Susie Barrie MW: “Really savoury, a rich, bready, hedonistic style that has lovely mouthwatering acidity, too. Long, layered and toasty. “

Simon Field MW: “Persistent mousse, a pleasing autolytic character and plenty of energy, tension and length. Pleasing definition.”

Rebecca Palmer: “Some mayblossom notes and deeper, more mushroomy, creamy layers. The mousse is fine and creamy, and the wine offers impressive depth of flavour. Expansive on the finish.”

2025 International Wine Challenge

94 points

“Yellow citrus notes with a balanced, yet delicate wet stone minerality complemented by attractive creamy hints.”

Launched last year in partnership with the Vineyard & Winery Show, the WineGB Golden 50 list highlights the wines that have won gold medals in 2025 across 10 national and international competitions.

Barry Anderson, Managing Director and head viticulturist and Leonardslee comments: “We couldn’t be happier that Leoonardslee Brut Reserve 2021 has been recognised as one of the best 50 wines in the UK. This is a huge achievement for the team and we are incredibly proud of all the awards our wines have won this year.”
