OUR STORY
Leonardslee Lights 2024
A Mid-winter lights dream
Step into a world where every tree becomes a stage, every light tells a story, and the landscape itself comes alive with drama and wonder.
Last year, we asked our audience to step into A Midwinter Lights Dream—a spellbinding new chapter in the Leonardslee Lights journey, where art, nature, and imagination entwine beneath the stars.
Behind the Magic
Leonardslee Lights is shaped by an evolving community of artistic collaborators—from nationally acclaimed studios to emerging local talent. At the heart of our creative direction are Ithaca Studio, award-winning sound designer Dan Fox, and the spellbinding performers of Third Space—whose talents have helped define the immersive magic of our trail.
But this is only the beginning. We're committed to building long-term partnerships with local makers, musicians, artists, and storytellers—ensuring that each year’s experience reflects not only innovation in light and sound, but the creative spirit of the region itself.
Sustainably Staged
Behind the spectacle is a deep respect for the natural world that inspires it.
Leonardslee Lights is designed with sustainability in mind—from low-energy LED installations and intelligent power management to carefully planned routes that protect our woodland habitats.
We work closely with the gardening team to ensure that the beauty you see illuminated at night continues to thrive in the daylight.
Because in this theatre of nature, the land is not just a stage—it’s the star.
