Headline Act: ANGELA BARNES
Short Bio:
Angela Barnes swapped a career in health and social care for stand up in 2010 and hasn’t looked back.
Within just a couple of years she had won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2011 and has since toured the UK and starred in BBC Two’s iconic 21 series Mock the Week as a regular, as well as Live at the Apollo, and Hypothetical on Dave.
She is a firm favourite on BBC Radio 4, having featured on The Now Show and The News Quiz – including a recent stint as the host, she also hosted BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack.
Angela co-hosted the less-than-serious popular podcast We Are History, which has just teamed up with Podmasters, with John O’Farrell. Six series strong and with over a million downloads, the two history nerds discuss, explain, and laugh at interesting and quirky episodes from the olden days.

Having shared stages with renowned names and becoming a regular at London’s top comedy clubs, Mark is an unmissable act.
You’ve probably heard him on BBC Sounds: Unexpected Fluids. He also hosts Laugh Out Proud Comedy nights and boasts accolades like Bedford Comedian of the Year 2013.

Short Bio:
Edinburgh shows 2019 received 4 star reviews. One reviewer said ‘Mags McHugh is quirky as a chipmunk’ . Funny women finalist Dublin Ireland 2017. Runner up 2022 Old Comedian of the Year. Winner of Ding Dong competition at Vauxhall Comedy Club and Beat the Blackout at Up The Creek 2022.
Mags moved from Ireland in October 2021 and aims to surprise audiences. Her mother described her as BFF. Alas not Best Friends Forever but Big Fat Fucker.

Headline Act: ROB DEERING
Short Bio:
Rob Deering performs stand-up comedy with music, using a guitar, a loop pedal and his voice to create impressive rock and pop soundscapes – and do jokes, of course.
Along with being one of the most in-demand headliners on the UK circuit, he’s toured nationally and performed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe many times since starting out in comedy in the year 2000. His late-night, live-music comedy pop quiz Beat This is a festival institution, on London’s South Bank, at Wales’ Green Man and many more besides Edinburgh.
Rob has performed throughout the world, in shows from the Middle East to Melbourne, Shanghai to the South of France, and he has appeared on any number of Radio and TV shows, often using his extensive knowledge of film, popular music and… well, ‘general’; he has won Celebrity Mastermind and a comedians’ special of the Weakest Link on BBC One

Short Bio:
Ali Woods is a half-English, half-Scottish comedian, podcaster and content creator. After a second sell-out Edinburgh Fringe run in 2023, Ali is a refreshing mix of the ‘every man’ and the ‘modern man’, whose sensitivity and genuine interest in men’s mental health gives him a great perspective on the modern ‘lad’ culture which often features in his comedy. Ali is that wonderful blend of comedy with a heart, speaking on topics such as football, the environment, and many social causes close to his heart. Ali won Hackney Empire New Act of the Year 2020 and has appeared on BBC Radio 4, TalkRadio, TalkSport. His online comedy sketches have gained millions of views and likes, and featured on LadBible and Buzzfeed UK. In 2022, he supported Russell Kane and Axel Blake on tour.

Middle Act: ERIKA EHLER
Short Bio: With a line in razor-sharp, dark and visceral jokes, Canadian stand up Erika Ehler is one of the most exciting young comedians on the circuit. Winner of Chortle Student Comedy Award, Mike Craig Comedy Award and Hot Water Roast Battle champion. She has performed at festivals around the world, including the Edinburgh Festival, the Latitude festival and the Toronto Sketch Festival. Erika has recently written for the upcoming fourth series of Comedy Central’s Roast Battle.

Samantha Day is a London‑based stand‑up comedian, former accountant and proud mum of six. After nearly 30 years crunching numbers, she made a bold career pivot around 2019, diving into comedy. Since then, she’s become a standout on the circuit—shortlisted for multiple awards and crowned Silver Stand‑Up Champion in 2025 for performers over 55.

Jacob Hawley is a multi-award-winning stand-up, writer and performer.
He has performed stand-up on The Russell Howard Hour (Sky Max) and Secrets of The Irish Comedy Circuit (ITVX),as well as appearing on The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITVX), BBC 3’s hit sitcom Ladhood and multiple BBC Comedy shorts.
He has performed 3 critically acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, his first two shows Howl and Faliraki were both translated into BBC Radio 4 Stand Up Specials, with his second special Class Act being named The Guardian’s Pick Of The Week. His third show Bump was described by the British Comedy Guide as ‘An impeccable hour of man-and-mic stand up’, awarded 4 star reviews and then toured across the UK to multiple sell-out rooms.
He was awarded a Radio Academy award which he accepted at London’s Palladium for Best New Voice for his hit BBC Sounds podcast Jacob Hawley: On Drugs, one of the BBC’s first original podcasts, a show which regularly featured in the iTunes top 12 podcasts and amassed over half a million downloads. The series was followed by two more commissions, Jacob Hawley’s Job Centre and Jacob Hawley: On Love, which both received critical acclaim and hundreds of thousands of downloads.
Away from his podcasts Jacob’s journalism continues in his writing - he writes a monthly column for The Metro and has been published by The Sunday Times amongst other publications. His comedy writing credits include Mock The Week amongst other scripted comedies.
Opening Act: JOSEPHINE LACEY
Josephine Lacey is a comedic powerhouse. Drawing on her Jamaican-Irish heritage and life experiences she delivers her material with an honest humour and a natural raw energy, taking absolutely no prisoners along the way.
Middle Act: THOR STENHAUG
Thor Stenhaug is a charming, hilarious comedian. Shortlisted for British Comedian of the Year (despite being Norwegian) and has been tour support for Fern Brady, Josh Widdicombe, Larry Dean and Jack Dee.

Paul is a rising talent on the UK comedy circuit, performing at some of the best clubs alongside the stars, where he is very much at home.
He has supported Hal Cruttenden, Paul McCaffrey and Esther Manito on tour and appeared at the Byline Festival and Victorious in his home town of Portsmouth.

Founded by our host and MC Paul Cox in 2021, Epic Comedy has the sole intention of bringing the most epic comedy shows to local communities. Their first show was in Midhurst in February 2022 and they now have 10 venues across West Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire and Dorset.
