Leonardslee Lights 2026: Enter A Garden Awakening

As winter settles over Sussex, Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens transforms into a glowing after-dark wonderland. From 27 November to 30 December 2026, the Grade I listed gardens will be illuminated once more as Leonardslee Lights returns with a breathtaking new chapter: A Garden Awakening.

This year’s extended trail weaves large-scale installations, light, sound, nature and fire through the sweeping Leonardslee landscape, creating an after-dark journey filled with atmosphere and discovery.

When Should You Visit?

Leonardslee Lights runs from 27 November to 30 December, giving you plenty of opportunities to plan an unforgettable festive evening.

Your ticket includes an allocated arrival time and free parking, helping the experience flow smoothly through the gardens. Allow plenty of time to wander the trail, enjoy the entertainment and stop for food and drinks along the way.

If your plans are still taking shape, open-dated tickets offer added flexibility, so you can choose your festive visit date later within the available dates and ticket terms.

What Should You Wear?

Leonardslee Lights is an outdoor adventure through garden paths and lakeside views so warm winter layers and comfortable footwear are a must.

Think cosy coats, scarves and gloves, with sturdy shoes or boots made for exploring under the lights. Evenings can feel crisp once the sun has disappeared, especially around the lakes and gardens, so dress for the weather and come ready to embrace the atmosphere.

Getting to Leonardslee Lights

Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens sits just outside Horsham, West Sussex, with parking available for visitors arriving by car.

Travelling by train or coming from Horsham town centre? A free return shuttle service from Horsham makes getting to and from the gardens simple, affordable and stress-free.

If you are visiting on a busier evening, allow a little extra time for your journey and arrival before your allocated entry time.

Leonardslee Village

Before or after the trail, pause for something warm, gather around the fire and enjoy seasonal treats. Firepits bring a cosy glow to the evening, while doughnuts and other refreshments offer the perfect excuse to savour the festive atmosphere.

Performances and entertainment add extra sparkle, bringing the gardens to life after dark.

Visiting with Family, Friends or a Group

Leonardslee Lights is made to be shared, whether you are bringing the family, gathering friends or joining as a larger group.

From a winter get-together to a festive group outing, there are options for larger parties, with group bookings available for 15 or more guests from £14.80.

Your Festive Evening at Leonardslee
